Location is unavailable
Astra works with an equatorial default view. For a local perspective, open iOS Settings, select Astra, set Location to While Using the App, then reopen it.
The Moon view or controls look incorrect
Close and reopen Astra. If the issue continues, restart your device and include a screenshot with your support email.
What does Tidal Lock do?
Tidal Lock holds the Moon's Earth-facing side in view as you explore dates. The light changes with the selected date.
Why did the app icon change?
Astra can update its icon to match the current lunar phase or a supported lunar event. This is expected.
Is the orbiter live NASA telemetry?
No. It is an artistic, educational visualization inspired by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter. Astra is not affiliated with or endorsed by NASA.
Does Astra have accounts or purchases?
Astra has no user accounts, subscriptions, purchases, or user-created cloud content. Deleting the app removes local app data and stops future collection from that installation.
