Does Deepy work completely offline?
Yes. Deepy is architected with an offline-first foundation using SQLite. You can capture mind sweeps, adjust time blocks, run your shutdown ritual, and track streaks without an active internet connection. If you sign in, your data seamlessly backs up to the cloud whenever connectivity is restored.
How do focus notifications and reminders work?
Deepy schedules local system notifications directly on your device when a time block is starting or ending. Local notifications respect your privacy—no push tokens or personal schedules are transmitted to external marketing servers.
If you aren't receiving notifications, ensure that notification permissions are granted in iOS Settings → Deepy → Notifications, and check that an active Focus Mode / Do Not Disturb filter isn't silencing alerts.
How does the Time Overlap auto-adjustment work?
When you create or edit a time block that collides with an existing scheduled block, Deepy automatically detects the conflict and displays an "Auto-Adjust" button. Tapping it will automatically snap your new block to the earliest available free slot directly following the conflicting task.
What is the difference between "Deep" and "Shallow" tasks?
Based on deliberate deep work methodology:
- Deep Focus: High-leverage, cognitively demanding tasks (e.g., coding, writing, researching, strategic planning) that require uninterrupted flow and create major value.
- Shallow Tasks: Logistical, administrative, or operational tasks (e.g., email triage, quick status updates, routine paperwork) that require minimal cognitive strain.
Deepy computes your Focus Ratio in the Review tab to help you protect at least 3–4 hours of high-leverage focus each day.
What is the Daily Shutdown Ritual?
The Shutdown Ritual is a proven practice to eliminate end-of-day work anxiety. At the end of your workday, open the Review tab, review remaining open loops, preview tomorrow's schedule, and tap "Shutdown Day" to mentally disconnect and recharge.
How do I sync my data across multiple devices?
To sync across multiple iOS or Android devices, simply sign in with the same Apple ID, Google Account, or Email address. Your scheduled blocks and mind sweep items will automatically synchronize via our secure cloud infrastructure.
How can I delete my account and all associated data?
You can delete individual tasks or sweeps anytime directly within the app. To permanently delete your account and all associated cloud backups, email us at vietneu.92@gmail.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request". All associated data will be permanently purged within 30 days in compliance with GDPR and CCPA.
Troubleshooting & Quick Fixes
1. Notifications Not Alerting on iOS
- Open iOS Settings → Notifications → Deepy and verify that Allow Notifications, Time-Sensitive Notifications, and Sounds are enabled.
- If you use iOS Focus Modes (Work, Personal, Sleep), add Deepy to the "Allowed Notifications" list.
2. Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In Issues
- Ensure your device is connected to the internet during initial authentication.
- For Apple Sign-In: If you selected "Hide My Email", Apple creates an anonymous relay address. You can manage your relay credentials in your Apple ID settings.
3. Reinstalling or Transferring Devices
- Ensure you were signed in on your previous device so your data is backed up to the cloud.
- On your new device, download Deepy and sign in using the identical provider to restore all your history and active blocks.
