- Offline-First & Guest Mode: You can use Deepy completely offline without creating an account or sending data over the network.
- No Third-Party Ad Tracking: We never sell your personal information, display third-party advertisements, or track you across external apps and websites.
- Local System Notifications: Focus session and schedule reminders are generated directly on your device without transmitting device tokens to remote push servers.
- First-Party Analytics & Control: Aggregated product analytics help improve focus tools, and you have full control to opt out or delete your account at any time.
1. Overview
Deepy (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a deep work ritual and time-blocking productivity application. This Privacy Policy details the types of information we process, why we collect it, how it is secured, and your privacy rights under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR and CCPA) when using the Deepy mobile application (the “App”).
2. Information We Collect
We practice strict data minimization. Depending on how you use Deepy (Guest / Offline Mode vs. Authenticated Sync), we may collect and process the following categories of data:

3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected data solely for the following legitimate business and operational purposes:
- Core Scheduling & Focus Workflow: Displaying your day's schedule blocks, managing your Mind Sweep inbox, and computing daily deep work hours.
- Data Synchronization: Syncing your focus timeline and tasks across your authorized devices via Google Cloud Firestore when signed in.
- Local Timing & Reminders: Scheduling on-device notifications to alert you when your deep focus sessions begin or conclude.
- Product Optimization: Measuring aggregated app metrics to identify usability bottlenecks and enhance feature ergonomics.
- Account Security: Verifying authenticated logins and protecting against unauthorized access.
4. Data Storage and Security
Local Storage: When running in Offline / Guest mode or while disconnected, your tasks and preferences are stored locally on your device using encrypted native storage mechanisms (iOS Keychain / Android EncryptedSharedPreferences and SQLite).
Cloud Storage & Encryption: For authenticated users, cloud backup is powered by Google Firebase / Google Cloud Platform. Data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS 1.3 encryption and encrypted at rest using AES-256.
Analytics Data: Analytics identifiers and event streams are processed in compliance with Google's data privacy standards and are subject to automated retention limits.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
Deepy only shares data with infrastructure providers strictly necessary to operate the application:
- Apple Sign-In (Apple Inc.): Handles biometric and single sign-on authentication on iOS devices. Subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy.
- Google Firebase & Cloud (Google LLC): Provides user authentication, cloud database persistence, and diagnostic telemetry. Subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC): Aggregated, first-party app interaction measurement. Analytics data is never combined with third-party advertising profiles.
We do not partner with data brokers, advertising networks, or external marketing platforms.
6. Notifications
Deepy requests notification permissions only upon visiting the Schedule screen. All alerts are local operating system notifications generated directly by your device hardware. Deepy does not transmit device push tokens to third-party marketing servers. You can toggle or revoke notification permissions at any time in your device Settings.
7. Your Privacy Rights and Data Deletion
You have full ownership of your data under global privacy frameworks:
- Delete Tasks & Sweeps: You can delete any individual time block or mind sweep item directly inside the App at any time.
- Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated cloud database records by contacting us. Upon request, all cloud data is permanently purged within 30 days.
- Local Reset: Uninstalling the App immediately removes all on-device databases and stored authentication tokens.
- Analytics Opt-Out: Users may opt out of non-essential usage telemetry by contacting support or adjusting device settings.
8. Children’s Privacy
Deepy is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If we learn that personal data of a child under 13 has been collected without verifiable parental consent, we will promptly delete that information.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy periodically to reflect feature additions or legal compliance updates. Changes take effect upon posting to this URL, and significant modifications will be highlighted in the App's release notes.
